Baby Lakers Topple Canucks, 6-4
|
Bompton second baseman Heinous Parker had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Moose Jaw Canucks, 6-4. Ieyoshi Okada got the win, improving to 2-3. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 3 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 2. George Crawford got credit for the save for Bompton. It was his 1st of the year.
Bompton right fielder Titus Andromedon contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a changeup into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 79th hit of the season and put the Baby Lakers ahead, 5-4.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Parker said after the game.
Bompton's record now stands at 36-41, placing them 7th in the Menard's Low A.
