The Snowpeople faced a stiff challenge from Greenport pitcher Chris Murton, but persevered to claim a win at The Igloo. The final score was 1-0. Murton went 8.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Knud Sterner, credited with the win, is now 2-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. At 22-49, the Snowpeople claim last place in the Menard's Low A.

In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 0-0, left fielder Luis Luttazi won it for Ellesmere Island. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Luttazi hit a 1-1 fastball from Chris Murton for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 1-0 win.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Luttazi said.
