10 Straight Wins for Shredders
Hollywood third baseman Brian Boyd made his presence felt in the 11-9 Shredders triumph over the Oakland Oaks. Boyd went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Hollywood reliever Gerald Currer picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Bobby Dudley was saddled with the loss. Picking up the save was Félix Hernández, his 8th.

In the top of the ninth, Hollywood left fielder Theo Belcher gave his team the lead. With one out and the bases loaded, Rock and Roll hit his 9th double of the year. Oakland pitcher Bobby Dudley surrendered it. With that, the Shredders jumped in front, 11-9.

"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Bill Cheese.

Hollywood has now reeled off 10 straight wins.
