Surprise Downs Tulsa, 2-0
|
Surprise pitcher Tommy Alderdice did his part in helping his team beat the Tulsa Otters, 2-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The save went to Kun Ec, number 18 for him. The Shockers, at 38-28, sit in third place in the Menard's Low A.
The Shockers got a big boost from second baseman Joshua Daulong who had a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning off Otters hurler José Tapia. It was his 16th RBI of the season and put Surprise on top, 1-0.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Alderdice.
