Otters Knock Off Beavers, 8-1
|
Tulsa Otters starter Teodor Duba had all his pitches working at Ballpark of Hughesville. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 Tulsa win over the Northwest Territory Beavers. William Nevárez sewed up the save, his 1st. With the victory, the Otters record now stands at 14-12.
Marcos Villegas put Tulsa in front, 2-1, when he hit a 2-run home run off Francisco Canó in the bottom of the first. It was his 7th home run of the season.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Villegas.
