Ballard Beavers starter Donald Carr turned in a sterling performance against the Redwood Rhinos, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Ballard bumps their record to 44-41 with the win.

Ballard took a 3-2 lead on José Zamora's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Redwood pitcher Brian McDaniel in the bottom of the seventh.

"I had a good game plan," said Carr. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Markus Richardson said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
