The Flint Crush topped the Memphis Music, 5-3, in USSL Low A action at Flint Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Flint pitcher Albert Martínez. Brandon Mitchell closed it out for his 2nd save. The win elevated the Crush to 37-32.
Matt Nance, who is tied for 8th in the SA- in extra base hits with 23, came through for Flint with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. The center fielder went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 2 RBI.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Martínez.
