Win Lifts Music to 36-30

The Memphis Music took Amarillo pitcher Francis Owens's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Stage in Memphis. The final score had Memphis getting past the Warheads, 3-1. Owens went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 9. Bong-ok Nae snagged the win in relief. In 2.1 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 3-0 on the season. The Music are now 36-30, while the Warheads fall to 39-27.
A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Music sent 19-year-old pinch hitter Ed Bowen to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a sacrifice fly, to put Memphis on top, 2-1.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Bowen told the Memphis Chronicle.
