Express Best Baby Lakers, 6-1
|
Adam McJannett was outstanding against Bompton. The left-hander, who is rated as the 32nd best prospect by BNN, had a slider that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Express 6-1 win. McJannett, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 4 walks. The loss has the Baby Lakers at 6-5.
Napanee used the timely hitting of Il-gyung Ham to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Express on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Ham told the Napanee Today.
