Fans watched the Tijuana Toros and the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish fight to the finish.
Toros first baseman Gerald van den Broek put his stamp on his team's 6-5 win over the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish. van den Broek went 2-3 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for Tijuana in the contest. The win gives the Toros a record of 5-5.
With Tijuana leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, van den Broek hit a fastball from Álex Morales for a 2-run double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Toros ahead, 3-0.
"We'll savor this win," van den Broek told the Tijuana News, "then get ready for the next game."
