Warheads Win at Memphis, 5-0
|
The Amarillo Warheads topped the Memphis Music, 5-0, in USSL Low A action at The Stage in Memphis. The game was highlighted by the performance of Amarillo pitcher Graeme Boucher. The win gives Amarillo a season record of 38-26.
Amarillo used the bat of Willie Nelson to capture the win. The second baseman jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Warheads ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Xue-liang Li.
