Flint and Redwood duked it out and the Crush came out victorious.
The Flint Crush picked up a win at Flint Park, knocking off the Redwood Rhinos, 7-4. On the mound for Flint was right-hander Jamie Newman, who played a pivotal role in the win. Today's win puts Flint at 34-26, while Redwood falls to 27-33.
Flint took a 7-4 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Logan Burdett hit a clutch 3-run home run to bring Crush fans to their feet.
"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Burdett said. "That's how it goes."
