Trash Pandas Overcome Great Performance by Jackson in Win
|
The Watford City Trash Pandas and Beaumont Crossbeaus obliged fans looking for a good time.
Beaumont third baseman Artie Jackson pounded Watford City Trash Pandas pitchers at Trash Panda Field, but it was not enough to keep the Crossbeaus from falling, 8-7. Jackson hit 3 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 4. Watford City pitcher Enrique Martínez got the win, upping his record to 2-5. David Bossard got the loss. Michael Green earned the save for Watford City, his 17th of the year.
Feng-linag Ling took David Bossard deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 3-run home run put the Trash Pandas on top, 8-7. In all, Ling had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.
"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Manny Gonzáles. "But it's got to translate into wins."
Beaumont is in the throes of a 12-game losing streak.
