Express Snag 3-2 Win
|
The Napanee Express gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.
Napanee Express starter Adam McJannett turned in a sterling performance against the Tijuana Toros, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Napanee reliever Julian Skyrme picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Juan Romo was saddled with the loss.
Gus Swanson was the walk-off hero for Napanee. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Express first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm not out here to win a beauty contest," said McJannett. "Obviously."
The win gives the Express a record of 4-2.
