Gators Suffer 4-3 Setback
|
Memphis starter Doug Morgan had a strong outing against the North Ft. Myers Gators at Dodge Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. The Music, at 9-12, sit in 7th place in the Silver Low A.
A critical at-bat came in the top of the seventh inning when the Music sent 20-year-old left fielder Sancho Sánchez to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and drew a walk, driving in 1 run, to put Memphis on top, 4-2.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said North Ft. Myers manager Ken McDowell, "let me know."
