Trash Pandas Win at Beaumont, 4-1
|
The Beaumont Crossbeaus got a superb performance from pitcher Carlos Huertas, but the Watford City Trash Pandas still won the game, 4-1. Huertas threw 6.2 innings allowing 3 runs. Michael Green closed it out for his 7th save. The Crossbeaus, now 5-14, continue their poor start.
Watford City used a clutch hit from Gareth Tarn to get the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Trash Pandas ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Tarn said after the game.
