A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Watford City Trash Pandas and Shady Side Zoomies.

Getting offensive support from Martín González, the Watford City Trash Pandas topped the Shady Side Zoomies, 7-2. González was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Trash Pandas. Edwin Boyd got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 6.2 innings. The save went to Jeff White, number 1 for him.

In the bottom of the first, Pete McKinney delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 1st, the Watford City third baseman hit a 2-run home run, putting the Trash Pandas in front, 7-2.

"It all comes down to execution," said Watford City manager Luis García. "Baseball 101."

No one expected much of this team but the hot start by Watford City might have some re-evaluating their pre-season predictions. The win today pushes their record to 12-6.
