Burdett Powers Crush to 5-3 Win
|
The Flint Crush topped the Ballard Beavers by the score of 5-3, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Logan Burdett. Burdett went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Crush. Peter Brenchley picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-2. He struck out 7 in 6.2 innings. Steve Stewart closed it out for his 4th save.
Burdett had a timely hit for Flint in the top of the sixth. With Ballard trailing 2-1, he turned a 1-1 slider into a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 4-2, Flint.
"We did enough to win," said Burdett.
