A 4-RBI performance from catcher Steve Baverstock, who is tied for 9th in the PA- in home runs with 15, led the Ogallala Octopi to a win over the Fort Knox Centennial, 7-6. The winner was Ogallala reliever Edgardo Cuellar, now 2-6. The loser was Roberto Cerda. The victory puts Ogallala at 32-47.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the seventh when Baverstock, who is tied for 9th in the PA- in home runs with 15, hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Octopi into the lead, 7-6.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Fort Knox manager Justin Saginov. "But we decided not to take it."
