The Interns grabbed a win, 3-2, at Alouettes Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Fort Knox pitcher Elmer Cullum. Cullum went 6.2 innings and allowed no runs. Baltwin Holster earned the save for Capital Hill, his 5th. The win puts Capital Hill at 29-44.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Calvin Shanahan came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Fort Knox pitcher Li-ping Cheng, he hit a first pitch splitter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Capital Hill on top, 3-2.

Shanahan told a Capital Hill Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
