Alouettes Ballpark hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
In a low-scoring game between Capital Hill and Hicksville, pitcher Naofumi Nishida was excellent. The Capital Hill left-hander helped his team knock off the Hounds, 2-1. Baltwin Holster closed the door for Capital Hill, picking up his 4th save of the year.
The Interns got a big boost from designated hitter Luis Segura who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth inning off Hounds hurler Bob Hampton. It was his 7th RBI of the season and put Capital Hill on top, 2-1.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Segura told the Capital Hill Observer.
Capital Hill is now 28-41, while Hicksville is 35-34.
