Little, Hounds Get 3-0 Win
|
The Hicksville Hounds picked up a win at Hound Pound, taking down the Ogallala Octopi, 3-0. Starting pitcher Luke Little was a big reason why. Mick Ditka, credited with the save, is now 18 for 22 in save opportunities. With the victory, the Hounds upped their record to 34-30.
Little, a native of London, England, was dealing all game. He kept Ogallala hitters off-balance, while giving the Hounds 7 quality innings. Little threw 94 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 10.
"Good win," said Little. "Maybe some of the whiners in the clubhouse will pipe down for a little while now."
