The Capital Hill Interns topped the Germantown Uruguayans by a score of 4-2. Leading the way was first baseman Ignacio Varga. Varga went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Interns. Baltwin Holster recorded the save, his 1st. With the victory, the Interns record now stands at 20-37.
The game turned with two out in the top of the sixth when Varga, who leads the PA- in total bases with 139, hit a 2-run single. It propelled the Interns into the lead, 4-2.
In comments to the Capital Hill Observer, Varga admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
