Ogallala right-hander Gabriel Soto pitched his team to victory over the Hicksville Hounds at Hound Pound. The final score was 5-2. Ogallala is now 16-32, while Hicksville is 25-23.

The standout performance belonged to 19-year-old Soto. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Octopi. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Hounds, striking out 5 and scattering 3 hits over 8 innings. Soto is now 3-1 on the season.

"Gabriel was Gabriel," said Octopi manager Félix Cruz. "He gave it all he's got."
