4-3 Loss Extends Capital Hill Losing Streak

Maine Sea Dogs starter Artie Morrow pitched a strong game against the Capital Hill Interns at Alouettes Ballpark, leading the Sea Dogs to victory, 4-3. Morrow went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 2-0. William Chávez nailed down his 7th save.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the sixth, with the game tied, Pepperoni Hugspot was at the plate when Maine scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Sea Dogs to go in front, 2-1.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Capital Hill manager Vincent Parker.
The Interns, at 16-31, have lost 8 in a row.
