Otero Excels in 6-0 Germantown Win
|
Nebraska Aquarium was the site for USPL Low A action featuring the Ogallala Octopi and Germantown Uruguayans.
The Germantown Uruguayans dealt the Ogallala Octopi a 6-0 loss at Nebraska Aquarium. Armando Otero was the star on offense. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Gin-fan Dou got the win, improving to 3-6. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 4 hits and no runs, while striking out 10 and walking 1.
In the top of the fourth of a scoreless game, Otero hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Ogallala manager Félix Cruz.
The Uruguayans saw their record improve to 19-22.
