Angel Kitties Best Rams in Pitching Duel
|
The Bethlehem Angel Kitties scored a tight 2-1 win versus the Ladue Rams at Ballpark of Wellsville. Bethlehem pitcher Carlos Guzmán held his own in the contest. Fabian Calkhoven recorded the save for Bethlehem, his 5th of the season. The triumph makes Bethlehem 10-31.
Bethlehem used the clutch hitting of Tanner Charles to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Angel Kitties ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Guzmán told a Bethlehem Today reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
