Michael Adkins never let Ogallala get something going. The Athletic Club KC left-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the U-21 to a 4-1 win. The winning pitcher was Adkins, now 5-2. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 12. The U-21 sit in first place in the Premier Low A with a record of 27-8.
Bartolo Rojas had a big hit for Athletic Club KC in the bottom of the third inning. With Athletic Club KC leading 1-0, Rojas hit a run-scoring double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the U-21 up, 2-0.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Rojas, "and go after the next one."
