The 5-3 Ladue win over Hicksville was due in large part to Walt Allard. The Rams center fielder was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Jason García got credit for the save for Ladue. It was his 10th of the year. The Rams, at 20-12, sit in third place in the Premier Low A.

The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the fourth inning, when the Rams were trailing 1-0. Blake Hodnett delivered a two-out 2-run home run for Ladue, catapulting his team into the lead.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Allard.
