Bullets Lose to Cattlemen, 4-3
|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen topped the Baltimore Bullets, 4-3, in United States Silver League action at The Cattle Pen. The standout performance belonged to Ft. Worth pitcher and Cincinnati, Ohio, native Jack Hammer. The save went to Marc Potts, number 4 for him. Ft. Worth now owns a record of 12-13.
The Cattlemen got a big at-bat from catcher Nestor Soliman. For the game, Soliman was 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Ft. Worth a 4-3 lead.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Baltimore manager Brandon Slouck said following the tough loss.
