In a tight affair between the South Beach Blaze and the Washington Generals, pitcher Randall Wright was in the zone. The South Beach left-hander helped his team win the game, 3-1. With the win, the Blaze have a record of 49-39.
The Blaze got a lift from center fielder Emílio Lozano who had a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning off Will Rogers. It was his 8th home run of the season and put South Beach in front, 1-0.
