River Rats Go Down to Defeat, 3-2
|
Behind an impressive start by Luka Bachev, Levittown beat Columbia, 3-2. Levittown, at 40-44, holds down 7th place in the Premier A.
Nick Childress came through for Levittown when he hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the first. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a two-strike sinker to center field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.
Afterward, Blue Dragons manager Sal Haynes was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
