A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Germantown Uruguayans and Ogallala Octopi.
The timely hitting of Justin Welch helped the Germantown Uruguayans down the Ogallala Octopi, 5-1. Welch hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Uruguayans. For the Octopi, the loss makes them 5-11.
With Germantown leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Welch hit a fastball from José Silva for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Uruguayans ahead, 3-0.
When asked about his performance after the game, Welch said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
