Jets Drop Generals, 4-0
|
Zakaria Cobar never let the Generals get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Jets to a win, 4-0. Cobar got the win, improving to 5-5. He allowed 1 hit and walked 3 over 6.1 innings. Cobar allowed no runs. The Jets saw their win-loss record go to 36-45. At the same time, the Generals fell to 42-39.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Patrice Ragot? The Kennesaw left fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Jets on top, 1-0. For the game, Ragot had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"I like to lead by example," said Ragot. "I'm glad I could contribute to a good win."
