Losing Streak Continues for Interns with 4-3 Loss to Uruguayans
|
Germantown right-hander Sam Potter pitched his team to victory over the Capital Hill Interns at Alouettes Ballpark. The final score was 4-3. Julián García picked up the save for Germantown, his 2nd of the year. Germantown has a record of 3-5.
Germantown used the timely hitting of Iván Cervantes to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Uruguayans on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Capital Hill manager Vincent Parker. "The effort was great."
