It was pandemonium at Crawdads Field after an exciting walk-off win.
The Cut Off Crawdads had to overcome a good performance from Levittown pitcher Ronnie Peters to claim a 3-2 win at Crawdads Field. Peters went 8.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winner in relief was Ted Bottone. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 5-0.
The Crawdads procured the win, in large part because of center fielder Nick Everett. In the bottom of the 12th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"This was a tough loss," said Levittown manager Sal Haynes. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
Cut Off goes to 33-28, Levittown to 30-31.
