Mullen Leads Generals to 4-0 Win over Chiefs
|
Washington got an elite performance from starting pitcher Ray Mullen in taking a 4-0 decision over the Caldwell Chiefs. The current losing streak for Caldwell has reached 4 games.
Mullen, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited effort. The hurler struck out 3 in 8 innings and gave up no runs.
Mullen, who is tied for 3rd in the PA in holds with 3, moves to 2-2 on the year with 41 strikeouts.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Mullen.
