Generals Knock Off Walleye, 3-1
|
The Washington Generals picked up a win at Walleye Tank, knocking off the Walla Walla Walleye, 3-1. Starting pitcher Ray Mullen was a big reason why. Mullen picked up the win for Washington, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-2. John Willis earned the save for Washington, his 7th.
Early in the game, left fielder Pablo Lodder had a 2-run home run for Washington. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Generals on top, 2-0.
"Ray -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Generals manager Nathan Horton. "He was the key to us winning."
The win puts the Generals at 17-11, while the Walleye drop to 13-15.
