Holy City Topples Monroeville, 4-1

The Holy City Herons defeated the Monroeville Yinzers, 4-1, in USSL Single A action at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. Holy City pitcher Julian Williams had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Williams, now 4-0. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. Miguel Hernández notched his 24th save in 25 chances.
Holy City relied on the hitting of Richie Wallace to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Herons on top, 3-1. For the game, Wallace had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Wallace told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
Holy City currently is in second place in the Silver A at 55-37.
