The Lake Erie Arryns topped the Caldwell Chiefs, 5-4, in USPL Single A action at Pipers Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Lake Erie pitcher Gabe Turner. Roberto Hernández, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The 6th-place Arryns have won 4 straight.

Lake Erie used the bat of Ángel Román to get the win. The catcher hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Arryns ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Turner told the Lake Erie Daily.
