John Thomas was outstanding against Eugene. The right-hander, who is tied for 8th in the SA with a 10.7 K/9 rate, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Caterpillars 3-0 win. The Caterpillars improved to 40-40.

Grand Forks third baseman Bob Huang delivered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. Overall, he went 3 for 4, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and knocked in 2.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Huang said after the game.
