Pitcher John Postgate was sensational for the Pontiac Godfathers in his team's 7-0 triumph over the Grim Reapers. Postgate picked up the win, and it was well-earned. The winning pitcher was Postgate, now 5-12. He tossed 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 7. Picking up the save was Elwood Graham, his 1st.

Pontiac relied on the hitting of George Roberts to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Godfathers on top, 2-0. For the game, Roberts had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"John was able to execute his pitches," said Pontiac manager Allen Yohemas. "Simple as that."

The win gives Pontiac a season record of 42-38.
