Shredders Topple Bullets, 2-1

Hollywood Shredders starter Nick Stewart was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Baltimore Bullets, 2-1. Stewart, now 3-0, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Huibert Illidge closed the door for Hollywood, picking up his 2nd save of the year.
Hollywood used the clutch hitting of Miguel Vargas to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Shredders the lead, 2-0. For the game, Vargas had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"Nick was throwing free and easy," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese.
Now 5-7, the Bullets have not played well this season.
