Pontiac right-hander Dan Ward pitched his team to victory over the Monroeville Yinzers at Pontiac Copperdome. The final score was 4-3. Picking up the save was Júlio Medina, his 21st. After today's action, Pontiac sits at 37-33; Monroeville slips to 35-35.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Godfathers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when catcher Zhenechka Rachinsky hit a 2-run single. The single came off Oliver Reynolds and made the score 4-0, Godfathers.
