Jets Stick Generals with 2-1 Loss
Despite a great performance by Washington second baseman Vince Taylor, the Kennesaw Jets defeated the Generals by the score of 2-1 at Washington Park. Taylor went 1-2 with 2 walks. Zakaria Cobar picked up the win in relief for Kennesaw, while Francisco Alonzo took the loss. With the loss, Washington drops to 4-4.

Kennesaw used a well-timed hit by Leonardo Silva to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Jets ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Kennesaw manager John Castle.
