Arryns Pull Off Thrilling 3-1 Win in Extras
|
The Lake Erie Arryns picked up a win at Columbia Stadium, knocking off the Columbia River Rats, 3-1. Starting pitcher Domingo Gonzáles was an essential part of his team's success. Colt Brown, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. John Terry earned the save for Lake Erie, his 2nd of the year.
José Villa made it 3-1 in favor of Lake Erie when he delivered a 2-run single. It came with two out in the top of the tenth. The Arryns went on to win.
"There's no quit in this team," said Arryns manager Louis Espinosa.
The win gives the Arryns a record of 3-4.
