The Pontiac Godfathers got a superb performance from pitcher John Postgate, but the Grim Reapers still won the game, 3-2. Postgate threw 8.2 innings of 5-hit ball. Grim reliever Gustavo Villa got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Doug Edwards was tagged with the loss. The Reapers lead the Silver A by 3 games.

Grim used the timely hitting of Tom Connibeer to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Reapers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Arnold Magowan, the Grim manager.
