The Pontiac Godfathers did just enough to secure a victory over the Grim Reapers, 4-3, at Pontiac Copperdome. Nobody did more than pitcher Garrett Curry. In 7 innings, Curry surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 11 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. The Godfathers have now won 4 straight.

Harry Kelly drew 1 walk for Pontiac. The 25-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Esteban Aguilar. It was his 10th walk of the season.

"I was a little disappointed," said Grim manager Arnold Magowan. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
