Airmen Edge Godfathers, 1-0
|
Alameda turned a good effort from starter Teddy Harvey into a win over the Pontiac Godfathers at Pontiac Copperdome. The final score was 1-0. Phil Krause closed the game out for Alameda, earning his 12th save. Alameda now has a 3-game win streak.
Mark Hinkle, the 21-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Hinkle contributed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put Alameda up, 1-0.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Alameda manager Gonzalo Féliz.
