Yinzers Get 5-3 Win Versus Myrtle Beach
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Monroeville Yinzers and Myrtle Beach Seahawks.

The Monroeville Yinzers topped the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, 5-3, in USSL Single A action at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Monroeville pitcher Jacob Napper. Napper went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-4. Ray Mitrou closed the game out for Monroeville, earning his 3rd save.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Chris McNally came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Myrtle Beach pitcher Jason Johnson, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Monroeville on top, 4-3.
